Marie Hoggard

Marie has been an employee with Tosh Farms for 9 ½ years. Her position in the accounting department may consist of wearing different hats. From writing checks and paying the bills twice weekly for three companies, to reviewing bank balances and entries, posting checks and posting and depositing incoming revenue daily. All those loads of wheat, corn, soybeans, canola and barley, that are sold and sent out in our Bacon By Gosh trucks, all need to be posted in the accounting program almost daily, this time of the year. Reviewing payment settlements from customers is important and also making sure the hog growers are paid each month are also some of her duties.

Marie’s 86-year-old mom, who lives in the High Desert in So. Calif. is still driving and sends her text messages weekly. Marie has three grown sons, all who also live in So. Calif. Two are still single and one is married with a beautiful wife and two precious daughters. Her husband, Paul, has lived here all his life, and with them marrying three years ago, Marie has a family here with his mom, two sons, daughter in laws and wonderful grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Her hobbies over the past several years have been bow hunting, bicycling, bowling, motorcycle riding, slow pitch softball and selling Origami Owl lockets with her friend, Judi Miller, who recently passed away. Today, there is always something to do on the Hoggard farm and both her and her husband enjoy sitting on their covered back deck watching the hummingbirds fight it out! Why can’t they get along!

Recently, Marie has joined a group of ladies, calling themselves “The Bag Ladies” who meet once a month at a local church. Together they recycle plastic grocery bags, by cutting and crocheting them into mats to distribute to homeless veterans.  If you have any extras bags, please send them her way!

Marie – “Life will send you challenges and bumps in the road, but my faith in God has been my rock.” With a solid foundation of Jesus Christ, her favorite scripture is “I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me” Philippians 4:13
