Employee Spotlight: Alberto Rodriguez
Since joining Tosh Farms in 2009, Alberto Rodriguez has been a cornerstone of the Farrowing Department. In his role, he oversees the daily organization of the team—assigning responsibilities, mentoring new employees, and ensuring that both sows and piglets receive the very best care. From training team members to solving challenges that arise, his leadership keeps the department running smoothly and efficiently.
At the heart of his work is the mission of farrowing: to give piglets the least possible stress and the best start to life. Through careful attention to feeding, ventilation, vaccination, and overall animal well-being, he and his team ensure that piglets grow strong, healthy, and happy.
Over the years, he has witnessed tremendous advancements in tools and production practices, but what stands out most is the culture of teamwork and equity. He takes pride in the fact that every individual—whether working alone or together as a unit—contributes to the overall success of Tosh Farms.
Outside of work, family time is his greatest joy, and Sundays often find him on the soccer field. His proudest moments come from dedicating himself fully to growth, learning, and teamwork. Even on challenging days, he finds reward in the shared effort and the stories his team builds together.

For him, being part of the farrowing team isn’t just a job—it’s knowing that their collective work is providing the excellent full cycle of care for the pigs and that makes all the difference.
