Jamey Tosh
Jamey Tosh is Jimmy’s son and a partner of Tosh Farms. Today Jamey’s day-to-day roles at Tosh Farms involve management responsibilities in the areas of swine, row crops, and agriculture technology advancements. Jamey earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Business from the University of Tennessee at Martin in December 2002, and then returned to the farm full-time. Jamey also earned an American FFA Degree in 2001. In over ten years of farming, Jamey has won numerous farming awards including the West Tennessee Star Farmer Award, the Henry County Young Farmer Award, the State Swine Production Entrepreneur Award, and most recently, the University of Tennessee’s Horizon Award. He has also been through the West Star Leadership program.
Jamey has two sons, Brayden and Coleton, and a daughter, Hartleigh.
Jamey is active in the community and has served as the swine chairman on the Henry County Fair Board, a member of the Henry County Soil Conservation Board, vice-president of the Henry County Co-Op board, a member of the Henry County Young Farmer & Ranchers Association, and has been involved in 4-H and FFA as an alumni. Jamey is very active in the pork community and he serves on the Tennessee Executive Pork Board for the Tennessee Pork Producers. On the national level, he works on the Tennessee Executive Taskforce which involves the budgeting of funds for the National Pork Board. Jamey currently serves on the Resolutions Committee, Swine Health Committee, and Sow Housing Taskforce for the National Pork Board, and he has also been through the Pork Leadership Academy and Operation Mainstreet Training. Jamey regularly speaks to different leadership groups such as the Pork Forum and the Rotary Club, and expresses his current views on swine production and the future of the industry.
