The Petrie Family

John is a second-generation cattle farmer. The original farm was purchased by his father in 2000 and today they currently have 150 head of cattle.

John started working full-time for Tosh in 2008 after graduating college. He then expanded the farm in 2012 by building a 5000-head wean-to-finish pig facility. In 2016, John left Tosh to become a full-time cattle and pork producer and purchased a 4000-head wean-to-finish pig facility that was already in operation.

John and his wife, Dana have been married for eight years and have a four-year-old daughter named Amelia. Amelia loves tagging along and checking on all the livestock. Dana is a full-time employee with the State of Tennessee Department of Human Services and enjoys helping on the farms as much as she can.
